Who Am I?

I’m Rezin Howes.

A husband. A father. An adventurer. A storyteller.

But more than anything, I’m a man who doesn’t want life to fade into forgotten memories.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Nine years ago, while our family was living out West and traveling in our RV, I picked up a camera with one simple purpose:

To document our life. Not for fame. Not for views. Not for money. But for us.

We were homeschooling. Traveling. Exploring. Living differently. And I didn’t want those seasons to disappear into the blur of “remember when.”

So we started vlogging our journey.

THE PIVOT DURING COVID

In 2019, when the world slowed down during Covid, our travels paused, but our creativity didn’t.

That’s when Rezinable Cooking was born.

Mercy, my daughter, and I began sharing some of our favorite recipes. What started as a way to stay connected and creative during uncertain times became something special — father and daughter building something together, one recipe at a time.

It wasn’t just about food.

It was about time together.

WHY MILES AND MEMORIES EXISTS TODAY

As the years passed, the channel evolved. Then something hit me. I was watching the final episode of The Incredible Dr. Pol, and Dr. Pol said he wasn’t crazy about television, but he did it in part to create a lasting legacy. That sentence stuck with me. It made me realize something simple but sobering:

Our time here on earth is short. We are older parents. We may not be around to tell every story. Our grandkids may never hear all the adventures directly from us. Even our own children’s memories will fade.

So I made a decision. From this point forward, I would document our adventures — not casually, not occasionally, but intentionally. For posterity. For legacy. For the generations who come after us.
